Fabricators who specialize in architectural and ornamental metals understand the importance of minute details. Our ornamental detailing team draws upon over 20 years of fabrication, installation, and managerial experience in the ornamental industry to help provide a unified design solution for your project and ensure that every detail is considered long before it becomes a punchlist item.
This frequently involves more than just “drawings”. We design connection locations based on ease of fabrication and locate field joints based on finishing limitations (paint- booth, galvanizing tank size). Overall constructibility is a primary concern, and we take into consideration access door sizes, weight of finished assemblies, condition of adjacent surfaces, and other aspects of your job that are critical to basic design. We can offer feedback on sequencing, product sourcing, finishing recommendations, building code interpretation, and managerial strategies to help minimize your risk on a given project.
We cultivate our relationship with the ornamental industry through involvement with the National Ornamental and Miscellaneous Metal Association (NOMMA). Our ornamental team leader, Lee Rodrigue, has been a long time contributor to NOMMA on code- and technical-related issues, writing many articles for OM&M Fabricator Magazine and aiding with the NEF-funded research project on Guardrail Climbability, effectively removing “the ladder effect” from code discussions.
